The clear top coat protects against scratches, scuffs, and blemishes, preserving the natural beauty of the wood beneath. This non-yellowing, non-ambering, and low-odor sealer dries crystal clear and maintains its clarity, making it a versatile choice for various wood species and finishes.

The Polycrylic Protective Finish allows for quick recoats after just 2 hours, and it can be easily cleaned up with warm water and soap. This protective wood top coat offers an attractive, classic sheen for a modern and subtle look, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood.

To ensure optimal results, the surface must be dry, free of wax, grease, polish, or any foreign matter, and sanded to a smooth, uniform finish. If desired, a Minwax Water-Based Wood Stain or Minwax Wood Finish stain can be applied to the bare wood before applying the Polycrylic Finish, allowing at least 24 hours of drying time.

The Polycrylic Finish should be stirred well before and during use, but not shaken. A thin coat should be applied with a high-quality synthetic bristle brush, following the grain of the wood. After the first coat dries for at least 2 hours, the surface should be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (220 grit) to ensure even adhesion and a smooth finish. Additional coats can be applied, repeating the sanding process before each application.

After the final coat, the surface should be allowed to dry for at least 3 hours before light handling and 24 hours before normal use.
